The kitchen is a good place to be with the people you live with, and somewhere everyone can contribute. Work at it together and you end up with a taste that belongs to your house — with its own stories, and its own memorable disasters. A kitchen should not be an ornament. People sit at the table waiting for something hot to arrive, hoping for the taste of home and the feeling that goes with it; and with a little care, even the simplest dish carries all of that.

Ingredients:
Luffa 1
Dried shrimp 1 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Stock 100 cc
Salt a pinch
Fried shallots a little
Broccoli 1 head
Tomato 1
Boiled eggs 3
Golden kiwi 1

Method:
1. Break the broccoli into florets, rinse and cook in boiling water. Set aside.
2. Peel and chop the tomato, cut the boiled eggs into pieces, and peel and chop the golden kiwi.
3. Heat oil in a wok and fry the dried shrimp until fragrant, add the chopped luffa and the stock, cover and braise until cooked.
4. Season with salt, stir through the fried shallots and plate up.
5. Arrange the broccoli, diced tomato, kiwi and egg around it, and the dish is done.

Stir-frying keeps the luffa crisp, and the faint sweet-sharpness of the fruit makes the whole plate light and very easy to eat.
