This dish is based on one by a fellow blogger, kodo. Tofu and braised pork simply stacked in layers and steamed until the flavour goes through, with shallots turning something plain into something rather striking.
Ingredients:
Silken tofu 1 block
Cooked braised minced pork, to taste
Chopped spring onion, to taste
Chilli, a little
Thick soy sauce, to taste
Method:
1. Cut the tofu into four slices. Using the back of a knife for support, lift one slice onto a plate, scatter over an even layer of braised pork, top with another slice of tofu, and carry on stacking.
2. Steam in a rice cooker with half a cup of water.
3. While hot, scatter over spring onion and chilli, spoon over thick soy sauce, and take it to the table.
